Indian Overseas Bank

I went to this branch today morning to enquire about claiming the residual amount lying to the credit of my Late Mother's Savings Bank account and to get the Claim Forms for this. This is not my Mother's home Branch which is the Tambaram West branch. These forms can be given by any IOB branch as these forms are the same across all branches in India. I am the registered nominee for my Late Mother's account. As I am residing in Villivakkam I personally approached a few IOB branches and they dismissed me with the same answer that I need to approach the home Branch to get these forms. As a last resort, 100% sure that I will face the same dismissal here too I entered your branch. But to my surprise the lady staff who handled this portfolio was very, very courteous. She checked all my Late Mother's details in her system and got up in spite of her busy schedule and customers waiting fetched the forms, explained clearly what I should do and handed over the forms to me. After doing the needful she asked to visit the home Branch and hand over everything there for their processing. I just couldn't believe my eyes. She went out of the way to help me, a senior citizen. My heartfelt thanks to this staff for her humane approach which is hardly sen these days. I want to express my gratitude for this help and want the public to know this. May the Almighty bless this branch and all the staff working here. May this branch go from strength to strength.
